Blitz45 Hosts Murph Challenge: Training exercise honors fallen veteran

SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WPMI) — The U.S. Army recruiting office along with the Blitz 45 functional training center in Spanish Fort sponsored a fitness challenge Saturday to honor our fallen heroes..It’s known as the Murph challenge named after Navy Captain Michael Murphy.The Navy Seal died in 2005 fighting in Afghanistan..Members of the military and Baldwin county community took part in the challenge as a show of support for our military.

The challenge included a Two mile run, 300 squats, 100 pull ups and 200 push ups .
It’s an exercise that is now part of regular military training.
